50 All-Time New Uses for Old Things

I'm always reading things on how to improve organization and/or frugally tidy up. It isn't uncommon to find an article on this topic that is mostly impractical or altogether useless. This article, however, has 50 ways to make old things more useful or better-looking, and while some may not apply to me today, I don't think a single one won't get used eventually in our home! I suppose I could still pick favorites; maybe #7 (coasters as gift tags) or #42 (plastic Easter egg use year-'round for added fun to lunch), but they're all pretty cool! Just had to share!

  1. Thanks for the link! I love Real Simple magazine- can't justify the cost of the subscription, but I do peruse the website. I have to admit, I do a few of those things myself already (like keeping plastic bags in an old tissue box). I really like the popcorn-as-packing-peanuts one.

  2. Thanks! I love a lot of their stuff, too, but can barely keep up with school reading so there's no way I could do a regular mag, as much as I'd love to. Several of these are done in our house, too, but aren't they all so useful and/or neat!?! :)
